Sr. Product Manager – Contract
Our client based in Alpharetta is looking for a highly energetic Sr. Product Manager, contract-to-hire, to join a strong team in a highly dynamic work environment while with scrum and agile methodologies. Be prepared to work in a company that has had extreme growth and partnership with companies such as Amazon, Home Depot, Apple, T-Mobile, and others.
Role Expectations & Responsibilities:
- Primary accountability of being an expert on market and customer needs, translating them into prioritized product requirements and of guiding the product development team to a successful execution of the product roadmap within a fast pace, agile product lifecycle.
- Own one or more product areas and be the mini-business owner for that product. You will perform market analysis and customer research to inform your roadmaps. You will liaison with strategic customers and partners to identify and pursue opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with sales, product development, product marketing and business development teams.
- Develop, get buy-in for, and communicate your product roadmap
- Drive execution of the product by continuously guiding the development team and leading cross-departmental go to market release plans
- Communicate the product's core features and benefits to Product Marketing, Management, Sales and other teams
- Collaborate closely with the UX team
- Share responsibility for moving the product management team forward. Learn about evolving product management practices and use your knowledge and experience to help drive improvements in your team
Skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years as Product Manager for software product
- Experience in and a preference for using data to drive decisions
- Familiarity with Lean and customer development methodologies is an advantage
- Ability to grasp and translate market/customer problems and opportunities to clearly articulated product requirements
- Excellent communication skills: collaborating, negotiating, persuading, writing, public speaking and listening
- Ability to build rapport with customers and internal constituencies
- Experience taking on leadership roles in a product management team and leading change in the organization
- Ability to drive a product from inception to fruition in a self-reliant way
- You have experience with UX and a perspective on what makes elegant, easy-to-use software
- SaaS and possibly mobile experience
- Agile/SCRUM experience. You have a sense for what works best in a particular environment and have experience evolving processes
- You have a desire to constantly learn and expand your skills and knowledge. You share your learnings with your team to help bring everyone forward
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of the automotive retail market would be a bonus
