Sr. Full-Stack Software Engineer

Our growing client out of the Midtown area is looking for a Sr. Ruby on Rails Developer to work along the CTO to continue to build out their software application for the logistics industry. 

In this role, you will be working on a small team, building out new functions and features, as well as making enhancements to the established product. 

The right candidate would have a drive and passion for working hard and being apart of a fast growing startup. 

Team: Small 3-5 person development team, 15+ company wide. 

Role and Responsibility:

• Develop new features and bug fixes 
• Advocate and communicate the engineering trade-offs in the delivery process 
• Maintain a comprehensive test suite to iterate quickly 
• Participate in full development process -Full Stack

Skills Required:

• Flexibility to move quickly with a startup 
• Extensive experience working on production-level code with Rails and React
• TDD experience - knowledge of Rspec / experience with Capybara Not a must 
• Extensive experience working with Postgres 
• Devops knowledge would be nice to have 
• The ability to write clean, reliable, and highly maintainable code 
•  A high level of comfort with GIT 
• Excellent verbal and communication skills 
• The drive to solve problems 

Nice to have:

• AWS, will eventually convert to that
• Heroku
